LIVING

DAYS AT HOME

Apartment

El Kantaui

From October 2022 I rent an apartment next to Femke & Nizar.

Both front and back I have a nice terrace.

The sea is 50 meters away!

I found the bench at a 2nd hand store.

I bought the olive trees here at a 'garden center'. All trees are full of olives. And believe it or not: One such olive tree including pot for barely € 15.

    Seating area outside

    front apartment

A wonderful place where I almost always sit. Whether it's with a cup of coffee, something to eat or with my laptop.

Life here largely takes place outside.

I found the table with chairs at a trader in 2nd hand catering furniture.

      Living room

      Lots of Tunisian "Old Stuff"

The apartment is small but nice. Everything at hand on less than 50 m2 and I love it!

I found almost all the stuff here in Tunisia. Mostly from junk shops with old stuff. I'm going to dedicate a blog to that soon.... I find so many beautiful things here!

This cottage now feels like home!

I found the bridal chest in El Jem, as well as the jars on it and the Berber in de sitting area. The Halfa mirror comes from Hergla and the black cabinet are actually 2 bedside tables, but I liked them better on top of each other.

The lamp is handmade by a local artist. That was love at first sight! I love tribal prints so much! The jar on the stand is from Aura Peeperkorn and came with me from home.

      Workplace

      Nicest place in the house

The finest daylight enters the guest room. That was the reason to make this my workplace.

      How I like sitting here!

Through a door and two steps you reach a spacious terrace at the back of the apartment. Here you are completely sheltered from the wind and in the afternoon in the sun. So you can sit outside here all year round.

In addition, this room is also the guest room... and now actually also the room of Boef! and Rebel. Two kittens that I found motherless on the street. They really gave my house a soul here.

I found the table at a junk shop, the chair was already here. The wooden mirror came with me from the Netherlands, as did the black mirror with surface division. Now still looking for old desk accessories... I simply love that 'strooptoight'....
